Zakumi is the name of the mascot and official representative of this 19th international exhibition. The moniker ZAKUMI comes from "ZA" which stands for South Africa, and "KUMI" which means '10' in a number of African languages. Youthful and spirited, the leopard Zakumi is an inspirational symbol for Africans of all ages. As a stately African leopard, he sports a white and green ensemble, set off by matching green dreads in his hair.
